1. Information we collect
Account info: your name and email address (from Sign in with Apple, Google, or email sign-in). Photos: closet item photos, your try-on reference photo, and generated try-on images, which you choose to upload. Location: your approximate location, only while the app is in use, to find nearby donation centers and show distance to marketplace listings. Usage & purchase data: your closet items, marketplace listings, saved looks, and subscription/credit purchase history.
2. How we use your information
To run the core features you use: cataloging your closet, generating virtual try-on images, recommending outfits, matching donations to nearby causes, and operating the marketplace. We do not sell your personal information.
3. AI processing
Photos you submit for virtual try-on or garment cleanup, and messages you send the style assistant, are sent to Google's Gemini API for processing and are subject to Google's own data handling terms. We do not use your photos to train our own models.
4. Third-party services
We use Supabase for authentication, database, and photo storage; RevenueCat and the App Store for subscription and purchase processing; and Google (Gemini and Places APIs) for AI features and donation-center search. Each provider processes data only as needed to provide these services to us.
5. Data retention & deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data — closet items, marketplace listings, donations, saved looks, and photos — at any time from Profile > Delete account.
6. Your choices
You can decline location access (donation-center distance and matching just won’t be available) and camera/photo library access (you can still use the app, but can’t add photos). You can unsubscribe from daily reminders in Profile.
7. Children’s privacy
Threadnest is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
